Dear Matt and Mar,
It has been at least a few months since I have drastically changed my meal plan. About two years ago it all started with limiting carbohydrates, then it was the gym. Can't remember when exactly I've found intermittent fasting (IF), at a guess it must have been over a year ago (I was still at CMG at that time).
Discovering IF was the turning point, at first it was all about the weight, but with more reading it has so more to do with good health too. So on the IF journey I went, fell off the wagon once (for about a week, instead of having lunch at 15:00, I was having it at 13:00).
Then when everything settled in, and with more reading somehow I found myself on OMAD (probably 3 or 4 months ago). Moving to OMAD (weekdays, and 16:8 for weekends) was child's play, it was so easy and effortless that a few weeks ago I found myself skipping Friday altogether, meaning Thursday supper then Saturday lunch.
Can't say that this weekly routine of 40 odd hours fast have been easy, well it wasn't difficult, but I do miss the joy of eating... I do miss my OMAD, lol. But the decision have been made, and will stick with it for the foreseeable future, it is now my way of life
Four meals during weekdays and 4 meals on the weekend seems to be a perfect fit, can not imagine going back to 3 square meals anymore . By the way found myself watching food programs on YT during the 40+ hours fast... that was not the best of idea... Haa haa haa.
