Dear Matt and Mar,
A few days ago Mar turned 2,555 days old… haa haa haa, 7 years old. So lucky that we got what Mar had been asking for (for months) last weekend (see hamsters post, lol), because this week and this weekend have been a bit of a downer.
Firstly, on her Birthday in the middle of the week, there was no sharing of her home made cupcake with her school friends, and Mar had the grand plan of allowing her friends to put on the icing themselves, lol. Secondly, this weekend Mar is supposed to be having a sleep over at Lotte (Lotte’s BD), and Mar had been looking forward to that so much! Thirdly, Mar has been staying at home since Tuesday, so describing her as a little bored is a bit of an understatement, haa haa haa.
Tuesday morning Mar woke up with a temperature (I was travelling), so after dropping Matt off at School, Mar went to BNH and not surprisingly it was discovered that she had Influenza Type A. I said not surprisingly because a few of her close friends had recently discovered that they were suffering from Type A too. On the positive point, the effect on Mar seemed to be quite minimal, Mar’s temperature was never worryingly high, in fact I would say it was quite mild (never breaking 39c), with no other side effects at all.
Right now Mar has two days left on the Tamiflu, and her temperature has been stable for the past 3 days, I am hoping it is all behind Mar now :-)
On her BD, Mar did make her own cupcakes and put on the icing herself, and it was delicious, for the past 2 years it would take the power of Zeus to make me break my eating plan, but for your Mar, I have never been more glad to break my plan just to have your delicious cupcakes :-) haa haa haa haa haa.
