I took my dedicated lightroom library portable drive into work today, as I needed to use some related work photos, but after accessing the drive I certainly wasn't expecting this...
As I was clicking away, digging deeper and deeper to find the folder where the actual files were, finally I’d reached the ‘Images’ folder (I must admit not a very imaginative name for a folder, lol). The final double click produced a real surprise.
What do you mean ‘You don’t currently have permission to access this folder’? I had always understood that portable drive is just a ‘Thumb Drive’ but bigger (not considering the NTFS or FAT format).
So it was a real surprise to see alert, obviously I had to ‘Continue’… haa haa haa.
What do you mean ‘You have been denied permission to access this folder’? Haa haa haa haa. The obvious thing to do is to consult the almighty ‘Google’.
Naturally I was not the first person to face with this issue, because the search engine gave me the correct hit without much effort, lol.

The top voted answer was very concise and also provided a simple walk-through, however I haven’t had a chance to try it out in person yet, will have to wait until I am back home :-)
